I noticed that too. It’s weird, tho, cause I’ve only seen one other mention on my dash about it since it happened. Are people really making that big of a deal out of it or is this just tabloids trying to kick up whatever dirt they can find?

(Note: while tacky and VERY ill-timed, the joke didn’t really bother me all that much. Probably because I’ve heard it multiple times from multiple people and that includes women)

it’s been talked about A LOT on twitter, it’s okay that you weren’t offended by it but there are many people who have dealt with assault and hearing the two people they look up to and adore make a joke of it is devastating. it’s a big deal and they’re getting called out for it, it’s ok to call our your favs when they did something wrong. maybe this will teach them to grow up from offensive jokes and even apologize, which they haven’t yet.
